Marching Knights Selected to Perform at Normandy, France

The Old Bridge Marching Knights have been chosen to participate at the D-Day Anniversary Parade in Normandy, France in June 2015.

The band is one of five from the United States invited to participate in the Normandy ceremony. The trip includes a performance at the American Cemetery and the annual parade in Sainte-Mere-Eglise, the first village to be liberated by the American troops.

Marching Knights post highest score, earn first-place prizes in historic season

It’s all a labor of love for band director Melissa Bolger and the Old Bridge High School Marching Knights, who this year posted one of the best seasons in school history. Old Bridge High School marches its way into history

For the first time in the Old Bridge Marching Knights’ history, the high school marching band won state and national championships this month. The Marching Knights won a national competition that they entered themselves into on Nov. 10 and aced the state championships at Edison High School on Nov. 11, according to band director Melissa Bolger. “We are number one because of the band’s amazing work ethic and positive attitude,” Bolger told the Suburban. “These students are extremely dedicated to the program.” Read More...
